From Turf Battles Wiki

Turf Battles, often referred to as TB, is the North American and European version of the Korean MMORPG Sephiroth. Sephiroth was IMAZIC's first released game first introduced in 2002. Turf Battles, originally published under HyperEngines LLC, ultimately failed. However, due to popular player support, the title was picked up again by Aeria Games and Entertainment. Aeria Games and Entertainment announced Turf Battles on December 9, 2008. The Closed Beta began on February 13th, 2009 and then ended less than a month later on March 11, 2009. Smilegate bought IMAZIC in late April, 2009 and now develops each version of the game. Since the original Closed Beta hosted by Aeria Games and Entertainment ran two more Closed Betas, and one Open Beta. However, due to several factors, it Aeria Games and Entertainment shut down its servers on June 18th, 2010. Since then, the website www.turfbattles.co.uk has been engaging in talks with Smilegate to purchase a license to host the game.
